Getting Started in the Community

Visit your profile page by clicking on "My Profile" in the red bar in the upper right hand corner of the site


Add a Profile Image 

  • Once in your profile, Click on the "Photos" tab and create a new album
    • Click on the new album
    • Upload an image, and you'll be asked if you want this to be your profile image after you upload it


Add Widgets to Your Profile

  • Through this window you can add RSS Feeds or widgets from other sites like (Facebook, flickr, YouTube, etc.) to display on your page
  • When you open your profile, it is in "Edit Mode" but you can change it to "View Mode" below the "My Profile" tab
    • The main profile page has three boxes, you can add content to them by clicking on "+Add Content" in each box
  • Widgets can be fun or practical. Don't know what a widget is? Add content to your profile and see the wealth of links you can pull into your profile page.

Join an Interest Group

  • Upon first logging in to the online community you will be directed to complete more details about yourself in "your account". Depending on your selections here, you will find suggested groups in your profile.
  • Let us know if you have an idea for an interesting community interest group that you do not see.
  • Want to manage one of the community interest groups? E-mail us.
  • You can join a group by clicking on the "Groups" tab
    • Click on the "Suggested Groups" sub tab to find groups related to your interests as specified in your account
    • Click on the "Search" sub tab to find other groups

Start a Blog

  • You can start a blog by clicking on the "Blogs" tab where you can click on "Add a Blog" on the right

Find Other CIP Member Profiles

  • Click on "Find Members" under "Online Community Tools" in the navigation on the left
