Even him of ordinary means can give his sons and daughters the highest education according to their financial capacity. Such arrangements do not exist in small towns or in the country. Cities also provide ample medical facilities. In every city, there are good hospitals in which the poor get free medicines and treatment. Many well-qualified private doctors are available serve the sick and the suffering. Lack of such medical arrangement is a drawback of the country. Usually in a small town or small country there may be only one doctor’s office and the hospital doesn’t cover everything that you would need in a hospital. Besides this, cities also provide many fine opportunities for amusement and recreation.

In every city there are a number of movie theatre and possibly live theatres, where they can enjoy the best pictures and dramatic performance. There are also a number of restaurants and hotels where we can get the best of the finest quality. There are also many parks and gardens where we can enjoy natural beauty at its best. The markets of the city, especially when brilliantly lighted at night, are better than many exhibitions and fairs. The most important advantages of cities are the job availability. They are centers of trade and commerce. There are big offices as well as large number of factories and mills.

Those with every kind of qualification can easily find a job that would suit them. No such opportunities exist in small towns or country where the people depend mostly on farming. Cities have many advantages and disadvantages. In the City, we cannot enjoy the beauties of nature, as we can do in villages. City life is artificial. People live cut off from nature. They cannot appreciate the charms of birds and flowers, or the beauty of dawn and the sunset as in villages. Advantages can be instead of having own transportation, you can take a bus or subway to work or wherever he needs to go. Restaurants on every corner. City life is unhealthy.

Air pollution, water pollution and sound pollution are all over cities. The smoke coming out a number of factories makes the atmosphere dirty. The sky is always covered with black clouds. They get no opportunity to breathe free and pure air. Beside this, food in the cities can be dirty and adulterated. The food sold in the market is entirely unwholesome and unfit for consumptions. The country has no drawbacks; they can grow their own gardens to grow their on food etc. They have to face many difficulties in a big city. City life is extremely expensive. A simple life, like that of the country, is impossible in the city.

Besides, the cities are overcrowded and they get very little accommodation. Distances are long and much time is wasted in going from one place to another. Those in the city do not have much sympathy for others. That sympathy and close interdependence which is so marked in county life is entirely lacking in the city. Such is the life in big city. That is why many people do not like to live in the city. Others prefer it owning to its medical and cultural advantages. It is all a matter of taste. I, myself, like to live in the county that is close to a city so that I may enjoy the pleasures both of the city and the country.
